Casa Corcovado
Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge is a 170 acre private reserve bordering Corcovado National Park. Carefully designed and built by an American naturalist with over twenty-five years of local experience, this unique lodge offers accommodations constructed with the highest concern for conservation in harmony with the landscape and the environment.
There are no roads to Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge, access is only by motor launch. The adventure begins upon your arrival at our reception center, "La Hacienda", in the town of Sierpe.
Type of rooms
Honeymoon Suites: These suites are intimate and hidden away in the lush tropical greenery. You will enjoy unpretentious comfort and style in harmony with the natural surroundings. Each bungalow is furnished with a queen bed draped by mosquito nets and cooled by an overhead ceiling fan. Pillowed benches and a seating area offer other options for relaxation and the large tiled bathrooms with hot water are sure to please. There are hammocks strategically placed outside so you can lay back and absorb the natural world all around you or just hang out and enjoy a good book. The suite also has all that you would expect: safety deposit box, ample closets and 24 hour electricity which is provided by hydro-electric and solar systems.
Deluxe Bungalows: Each one is tucked away in its’ own private garden and designed with your comfort in mind. These bungalows offer a queen bed and two or three other beds, draped by mosquito nets making them perfect for groups of families or friends. Equipped with a table, chairs, safety deposit box, ceiling fans, ample closet space and a mini-bar makes it a very comfortable place. The hot-water shower and toilet are in separate rooms and the sink and mirror decorated with colorful Mexican tiles are sure to please.
Junior Suite: Each bungalow has two interconnecting suites making them just right for families or friends. The tiled suites have a screened porch perfect for relaxing after a days adventures and a living room tastefully decorated with fine wood furniture, a fold-out sofa-bed and the "Wooden chest" which is your Jungle Mini-Bar.
There is a bedroom furnished with a queen and a single bed draped by mosquito nets, tiled hot-water shower, safety deposit box, ample closets and a beautiful sink and mirror decorated with colorful Mexican tile. The bathroom is separate with doors opening into the bedroom and the living room.
There are also hammocks strategically placed outside so you can lay back and absorb the natural world all around you or just hang out and enjoy a good book.
Activities
Casa Corcovado offers packages for you to enjoy as much as possible your stay in the area, please take a look at the classic package and what it includes:
Day 01 (Corcovado)
Take flight to Palmar Sur. There we will drive you to Sierpe for a thrilling boat trip to the Drake Bay area. This will be you home base for the next three nights! (Full Board)
Day 02 (Corcovado National Park)
Familiarize yourself with the intricate workings of the rainforest on a day hike into Corcovado National Park and spend the rest of the day exploring on your own, relaxing or on a scheduled activity. (FAP/FB)
Day 03 (Caño Island)
Off to the Caño Island Reserve, a 300-hectare island known for its Indian cemetery and coral reefs teeming with marine life. Time to relax and swim, or hike through the island. (FAP/FB)
Day 04 (San José)
After breakfast, transfer by boat and taxi to Palmar Sur and the flight back to San José. (B)
Restaurant
The hotel’s Jungle Dining Room offers a special haut cuisine menu in a casual elegant ambience. The delicious meals are prepared each day with the freshest vegetables, fruits, seafood, tenderloin, chicken and pasta.
